Shopmonkey is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Event Specialist for a seasonal position through the end of the year. If you thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, are passionate about creating innovative marketing event strategies, comfortable with problem-solving, and multiple hat-wearing, then you are exactly what we are looking for!

As the Event Specialist, you will execute and support Shopmonkey’s field event program including trade shows and additional in-person events to grow Shopmonkey’s brand awareness and drive pipeline. Your contributions will be instrumental in hitting ambitious goals and driving the growth of our company. You will also assist with the execution of Shopmonkey’s internal events designed to provide inspiration and connectivity across the organization. These events include sales kickoffs and company summits, among others.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate the logistical requirements for Shopmonkey booths at national and regional trade shows.
  • Support the logistical execution of internal events for Shopmonkey employees, including sales kickoffs and company summits.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote the show through marketing channels such as social media, email, and ad campaigns.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation logistics, administration, and bookings.
  • Ensuring that all exhibitor manual standards and regulations are adhered to for each event.
  • Multi-task and lead several events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel: Approximately five physical events a quarter in the U.S.

We are looking for you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in full cycle trade show execution and internal event execution.
  • Experience in event marketing, budget creation and management, vendor proposal reviews, post-event invoice reconciliation, and financial closeout of events
  • The desire to consistently enhance and innovate events, bringing new ideas to the table
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities. Experienced with project management platforms such as Asana, ClickUp, and Wrike.
  • Proactive approach to handling issues or troubleshooting any challenges on event day
  • Excellent eye for detail, organized, thorough, and a creative thinker and problem solver
  • Exceptional project management experience and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work across various levels of the organization while building trust and fostering collaboration
  • Proficient in G-Suite.

In the United States the range is typically a salary of $70,000 to $80,000. The range provided is Shopmonkey’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities. Consult with your Recruiter during the initial call to determine a more targeted range based on these job-related factors, as well as specific benefits for this seasonal position, that may differ from the benefits mentioned below.
