Overview
As Vice President, Corporate Engineering, you will lead the organization responsible for HubSpot’s core internal business systems, enterprise workflow platforms, and AI transformation initiatives. You will shape the technical strategy for a multidisciplinary engineering organization while partnering closely with executive stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient business processes. This role is responsible for driving innovation, operational excellence, and AI-first ways of working.
Team Overview
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of Business Systems Analysts, Program Managers, Software Engineers, ServiceNow Engineers, Administrators, and Data Analysts responsible for the platforms and automations that support every HubSpotter. Your team enables People, Finance, and Legal teams to operate more effectively while setting company-wide standards for automation, AI adoption, and enterprise systems engineering.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategy, vision, and execution for HubSpot’s Corporate (G&A) Systems organization.
- Drive AI-first transformation across People, Legal, and Finance through enterprise AI capabilities and automation.
- Shape the evolution of the team into a world-class corporate engineering function capable of delivering complex, end-to-end business processes.
- Lead the engineering strategy for HubSpot’s core business platforms, including ServiceNow, Workday, Workato, NetSuite, Coupa, Avalara, Ironclad, and related technologies.
- Establish technical standards, governance, and operational excellence across enterprise systems and automation platforms.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps that improve operational efficiency and employee experience.
- Coach, develop, and grow an inclusive, high-performing leadership team while fostering psychological safety and accountability.
- Collaborate across Product, Engineering, IT, Security, and G&A teams to maximize business impact and scalability.
- Champion enterprise AI adoption, experimentation, and responsible governance across G&A functions.
- Build scalable operating models that position HubSpot for continued growth beyond 2026.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant technical leadership experience building and scaling multidisciplinary business systems or enterprise technology organizations.
- Deep expertise with one or more enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Workday, or Workato; experience across multiple platforms is strongly preferred.
- Experience partnering with senior People, Finance, and Legal leaders to deliver large-scale business transformation.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise technology modernization and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Passion for AI and practical experience applying generative AI capabilities to improve business processes and employee productivity.
- Proven ability to build trusted partnerships with C-level and VP-level stakeholders while translating long-term strategy into executable roadmaps.
- Experience coaching leaders and individual contributors while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, direct, and actionable feedback.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Early career experience as a Software Engineer or similar technical role.
- Experience leading ServiceNow and/or Workato Centers of Excellence.
- Experience administering enterprise AI platforms such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude Enterprise, Gemini, or similar technologies.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale workflow automation, integration, and platform engineering initiatives within a high-growth SaaS organization.
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
