Overview

This position plays an important role in developing, maintaining, and executing product designs that keep impaired drivers off the road and enable drivers to get responsibly back behind the wheel. As part of a high-performing technical team, your work will be a critical part of innovative new product development and ensuring our current product supports our business growth.

We are seeking a temporary highly motivated and experienced mid-level Social Media & PR Specialist for a temporary, part- time assignment. This vital role reports directly to the Director of Communications and requires a professional capable of independently planning, leading, and executing compelling external communications to advance the company’s communication goals and meet strategic objectives.

The Specialist will own the management of social media and public relations efforts to promote and enhance the reputation of Mindr and its portfolio of brands, while also assisting with internal communications efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Leads the design and execution of the social media strategy, including the development of integrated campaigns and content themes, in collaboration with the communications team and brand partners.

2. Manage Mindr and brand social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube), serving as the lead for launching new brands effectively across platforms.

3. Develop and maintain a proactive and consistent editorial content calendar/schedule.

4. Creates content in bulk and develops engaging graphics and videos using tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar software.

5. Define, execute, track, and report well-structured brand social content strategies to meet KPIs.

6. Develops and refines tracking and reporting to provide strategic feedback and direction, analyzing key performance indicators such as engagement rates, conversion, and follower growth, and translating them into actionable plans.

7. Leverages a deep understanding of current social media algorithms across major platforms to optimize organic reach and engagement.

8. Oversees community management, including proactive engagement and the moderation of user-generated content.

Public Relations & External Communications:

9. Draft essential external communications, including press releases, sales, and customer communications for CST and its portfolio of brands.

10. Manage incoming press inquiries and related assets.

11. Identifies opportunities for partnership development and stakeholder outreach.

12. Proactively manages the relationship with the public affairs agency partner to leverage legislative content for social media and PR use.

13. Sets up and manages affiliate marketing programs for brand initiatives.

14. Assist with internal communications efforts as needed.

15. Act as a positive influence on the marketing department’s culture.

16. All other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

Preferred Experience: 

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.

2. 3-5 years of professional social media and PR experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 5 years of proven experience with proactive and reactive posting & community engagement.

2. Demonstrated expertise in launching and scaling brands on social media platforms.

3. Deep, current knowledge of social media algorithms across major platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn).

4. Direct experience setting up and managing influencer affiliate marketing programs.

5 Proficiency in graphic and video creation tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut) and the ability to create content in bulk.

6. Proven ability to develop and lead campaigns and content themes that meet strategic objectives.

7. Expert working experience with social media content calendars and scheduling content using tools like HubSpot.

8. Strong knowledge of social analytics tools and reporting, with proven ability to translate data into strategic, actionable feedback. Ability to work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously across various channels in a fast-paced environment.

9. The ability to consistently make strategic recommendations and demonstrate independent thinking related to marketing plan execution.

10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

11. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.

12. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

13. A flexible, can-do attitude and great team skills.
