Overview of Role
We are looking for a QA engineering specialist to help lead the efforts of defining QA at Climb. An ideal candidate would be opinionated of the QA process, have an engineering background, and would be looking to grow into leadership as we continue to expand. The candidate should expect to work cross functionally between the product and engineering departments as well as develop relationships with stakeholders to best inform the department’s approach and processes.
As part of the Engineering team, you will:
Migrate primary QA responsibilities from the Software Engineering and Product Teams to the QA team
Collaborate intimately with stakeholders to ensure their vision is captured and verified in the product
Elevate QA into a core facet of our product development process
Contribute strongly to both written and automated test case development
Design, develop, and execute automation testing scripts using Cypress or any similar tools
Your Background and Skills
2-4 years of experience
Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, etc
Bring an engineering skillset to quality assurance
Allow you to derive test cases from product requirements
Can challenge architectural decisions of product engineers as well as product managers
Have a methodical, detailed, and well-organized approach
Has shown excellence working with a small team in a fast-paced environment
Proven stakeholder management skills as well as employee leadership experience
