We’re looking for a Tax Transactions Manager. A successful candidate will have exceptional analytical capabilities, be attentive to detail, and have a strong work ethic.     • Partner closely with our real estate team and other business leaders to drive successful outcomes for our real estate operations by proactively identifying and resolving tax issues pre-closing, including review of transactional documents
    • Leverage your background to support and influence key strategic and business decisions from a deal advisory perspective, including:
    • Determine optimal asset acquisition and disposition structures
    • Analyze and identify complex REIT issues for asset acquisitions and sales, including review of REIT questionnaires
    • Complete preferred equity checklists, and prepare transaction memos/documentation
    • Evaluate new company initiatives for tax considerations, maintaining high performance under tight timelines
    • Work directly with key personnel to build out emerging processes by bringing structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity
    • Thrive in a fast paced environment with a growth mindset and “get things done” attitude
    • Research complex tax topics
    • Work closely with Tax Compliance team and information share
    • Support ad hoc requests and projects from management

Minimum Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • 5-7 years of of relatable experience either in-house or public accounting
    • Extensive experience in REIT tax planning, including deal diligence and structuring

Preferred Qualifications

    • Mergers and acquisitions experience
    • CPA or equivalent designation
