Fundrise has an immediate opening for a full-time experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the accounts payable function. A successful candidate will have exceptional process improvement capabilities, be attentive to detail, and have a strong work ethic. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who thrive in a dynamic, team-based environment with the initiative to work independently. Positive, team-oriented attitude required. Responsibilities

    • Manage vendor onboarding and vendor information maintenance
    • Manage preparation of weekly payment runs
    • Communicate effectively and promptly with various departments around payment due dates, cycles, and payment status
    • Ensure that approvals move along according to the payment calendar
    • Coordinate out of cycle payments, expedited payments, and help to perform detailed payment reviews
    • Interface with the real estate and fund accounting teams to guide the development draw process for timely and accurate payments to vendors. This includes: vendor outreach, draw package submission, making sure the appropriate cost codes are utilized and providing payment status reports
    • Report on vendor spend on a monthly basis to key stakeholders in order to drive sharp decision making
    • Manage multiple corporate card programs by reviewing and approving expense reports according to policy and reconciling and preparing monthly journal entries
    • Update and maintain corporate card expense policies, vendor onboarding, management, and offboarding policies, and invoice approval limits within a corporate risk framework
    • Lead in filing 1099 forms with the IRS on an annual basis
    • Document payable processes, workflows and procedures and interface with auditors as needed
    • Manage a team of associates and successfully scale the team’s output as the company grows

Minimum Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, systems, business administration, or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of experience managing an accounts payable function
    • Experience with Nexus Payables and Connected by Nexus payment system is preferred
    • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
    • History of teamwork and willingness to dive-in to get the job done
    • Intellectually curious, creative, and collaborative
