The Opportunity

Mosaic is actively looking for an ambitious Lead Quality Engineer to join an innovative and growing test engineering team. If you enjoy working with cutting-edge technologies, and want to make an impact on promoting the growth of renewable energy, then you should definitely check this out!

Your day-to-day

  • 70+% hands on team, project and automation management and mentoring
  • 30% manual and/or automation testing
  • Plan and control the testing process and ensuring the QA team is aligned on process
  • Work closely with product and engineering to ensure quality and timely deliverables
  • Participate in the innovation process, bringing your unique technical view on new concepts to the table
  • Clear communication on the QA plan and strategy, challenges faced and its impact in the deliverables to the stakeholders
  • Allocate and monitor the QA team deliverables according to plan and escalate when necessary
  • Conduct regular QA team meetings with the onshore and offshore team
  • Participate in the requirement meetings and proactively provide feedback wherever required.
  • Ensuring QA resource is equipped with the necessary knowledge and training required to perform his tasks
  • Creating QA test plans/strategy for any features , rollouts or enhancements and getting sign off form the stakeholders
  • Escalating issues/concerns immediately in order to avert projects running over time/budget
  • Ensuring that all risks and issues are communicated to stakeholders and manager
  • Be hands on and assist with testing, debug and execute automation when needed.
  • Work closely with the QA Manager on the strategies, improvements, recommendations, escalations, project updates, status, challenges, risks etc.
  • Work and collaboratively with the other QA Leads on Global QA tasks.
  • Creates future work roadmaps and various management reports to track work estimates and team performance.
  • Facilitates difficult conversations with tact and helps focus on mission to drive decisions across teams.
  • Participate in the innovation process, bringing your unique technical view on new concepts to the table
  • Lead QA team on test automation solutions and provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers
  • Collaborate with DEV and DevOps team on tools/enhancements needed to increase automation and test coverage
  • Work with technical architects and developers to finalize the architecture and design

What you bring to the team

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineering Lead
  • 7+ years of Hands on Manual and Automation Test Engineering experience
  • Extensive experience in writing automation test scripts using Scala or Java and Selenium web driver or similar automated testing software.
  • Experience with API, UI, Mobile and Performance testing
  • Knowledge with database and SQL development
  • Knowledge of QA testing, QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Strong team building and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex details into simple language for non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices; best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing multiple projects and still meet deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative, startup environment
