Fundrise is looking for a talented engineering leader to lead our Mobile Core Team. You will collaborate with our product owners, designers and developers to plan engineering efforts, audit and monitor our applications, and deliver platform upgrades in the goal of unlocking potential and increasing velocity across our iOS and Android teams.

Our Core Team has delivered initiatives like:

  Standardized architecture and component patterns for feature development.

  Extensive CI/CI processes within Github Actions.

  Tooling and dashboards to monitor bugs, memory usage, and compilation time.

The Mobile Core owns the documentation, infrastructure, tooling and services required to enable the mobile feature teams to deliver ground-breaking product initiatives. As a leader in our mobile development team, you’ll be responsible for building effective and engaged engineering teams to fulfill our growing needs. The Lead Mobile Engineer role requires a balance of communication, leadership, community building, teamwork, and technical understanding of applications/systems to drive success at Fundrise.


      • Define the vision and strategy for mobile technology across the entire organization.
      • Lead teams in the designing and building of mobile technology services, architecture, and libraries.
      • Building and delivering a platform roadmap for our mobile teams.
      • Communicate with leadership, product, design, analytics, and others to ensure alignment.
      • Audit and improve team processes, technologies and security practices.
      • Participating in major design and architecture decisions during the early stages of application development.
      • Share in the ownership of the app deployment and help drive data-driven decisions around usage analytics and error reporting.
      • Attract talent and scale a world-class, diverse engineering organization based on an established network and experience.

Minimum Qualifcations

    • 3 years of experience leading mobile software development teams.
    • 1 year of experience directly managing people.
    • Native iOS and/or Android experience.
    • Solid knowledge of data structures and computer science fundamentals.
    • An appreciation for writing elegant code and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of analytics frameworks (ie. Mixpanel)
    • Knowledge of production error reporting (ie. Sentry, Crashlytics)
    • Experience with AWS
