Job Summary

The Finance Manager will play an important role within the growing finance team.  This position reports directly to the SVP, Finance and will be responsible for delivering financial and operational business models, analyses and metrics that lead to insightful and accurate business decisions.

In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:

Essential Functions

      • Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Chief Revenue Office, supporting Sales, Marketing, and Post-Sales teams
      • Provide proactive actionable insights, recommendations, and guidance to senior executives to facilitate peak performance
      • Lead the highly detailed budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the sales, marketing, and post-sales teams, including detailed forecasts of Bookings, Revenue, Cost of Sales, Commissions expense, headcount, and Marketing expense return on investment
      • Close process and monthly reporting:  Work closely with the accounting team during the monthly close process, analyze financial and operational variances vs. forecasts, and present monthly bookings and department results to senior leaders
      • Prepare reporting, analysis, commentary, and presentation materials for Board of Directors and executive team reviews
      • Partner with team members to establish efficient and automated processes, streamline usage of existing software, and implement a Corporate Performance Management tool
      • Work on special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned

Minimum Requirements

      • 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including experience as the primary finance business partner to senior company leaders
      • Experience leading the budgeting and forecasting process for a sales and marketing team, including detailed forecasts of Bookings, Revenue, Cost of Sales, Commissions expense, and Marketing expense return on investment
      • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
      • Advanced experience working with corporate budgeting process and detailed financial models
      • Excellent customer relations skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers both internal and external
      • Ability to work cross functionally, manage many stakeholders, and build solid relationships throughout the company
      • A problem solver who can think outside the box to complete work without previously established processes
      • Organized with the ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and effectively deal with a fast-paced environment
      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
      • Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM tool

Preferred Qualifications

      • MBA or relevant graduate degree
      • Experience working in a Private Equity owned business
      • HCIT or software technology industry experience
      • NetSuite experience

Working Environment

    • Nextech operates as a hybrid work organization – employees may work both from home and the office. Most positions have an expectation of attendance in the corporate office in Tampa, FL on either a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. Frequency of in office work is determined by the department leaders and is subject to change based on business needs.
