Teaching kids to think critically and communicate effectively has never been more important, and NoRedInk helps students become better writers in more than 60% of middle and high schools in the U.S. We’re looking for a talented Events Manager who will spearhead NoRedInk’s event marketing strategy, including but not limited to: trade show planning and attendance, securing speaking opportunities, representing NoRedInk at industry events, and implementing customer and user events large and small.In this role, you will:

  • Identify and prioritize national events for NoRedInk to lead and/or participate in based on their likelihood to drive new business opportunities
  • Lead, direct, and motivate cross-functional team members and vendors to effectively execute participation in trade shows, meetings, and events
  • Schedule and lead regular trade show and event planning meetings in collaboration with Marketing and Sales leadership
  • Lead booth design efforts according to marketing and sales strategy, budget, and brand guidelines
  • Create and manage support staffing plans for trade shows and ancillary events when needed
  • Track and process accounting to ensure accuracy of invoices and timely payment processing
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors
  • Provide regular status communications to stakeholders in collaboration with the Marketing team
  • Manage housing at events as needed
  • Consolidate, coordinate, and process inventory and equipment requests
  • Lead and formalize post-event debriefs
  • Utilize standard digital tools to manage trade shows and communications
  • Monitor competitors and industry for trends and shifts in the market
  • As part of the Marketing department, assist with product launches and other marketing activities in conjunction with the trade show program

About You:

  • Four-year college degree or relevant experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in complex national trade show and event coordination
  • Must show demonstrated success managing non-reporting cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Willing to travel 25% of the time to events across the U.S.
