About the role:

Vercel is looking for a Technical Enablement Lead to join our growing Go to Market Enablement team! You will be an integral part of our organisation in ramping and developing the technical side of our sales organisation. The role is for someone who is passionate about helping our salesforce achieve success by understanding our complex product and its business value broken down to various user types who use Vercel. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technical training our Sales Development Reps, Account Executives, Sales Engineers and Customer Success Managers to become subject matter experts and solution consultants for our prospect and customer base.

The ideal candidate has a good mix of deep technical knowledge around Next.js, value proposition articulation, and business acumen. Additionally, you will have a working knowledge of learning effectiveness principles and an ability to transfer technical knowledge to non-technical roles.

You will join the GTM Enablement team at Vercel as an early team member and will be responsible for designing enablement experiences for a global, hyper-growth sales organization. We welcome candidates from the EMEA and Americas.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategize with the enablement leadership and oversee the roadmap for technical training programs

  • Design and manage technical upskilling for the SDR, Account Executive, Sales Engineering and Customer Success team on the technical value of Vercel

  • Collaborate with our Sales Onboarding Manager to build and implement the onboarding program for the new technical team members.

  • Assist with the technical side of competitive assessments and collateral (i.e. battle cards)

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Product Marketing, Developer Relations and the Technical Sales team to guide and create content based on field requests.

  • Be the subject matter expert on the technical components of the Vercel platform, which includes understanding the problems we solve, customer use cases and architecture of how Vercel will fit into our customer’s applications.

  • Gather feedback from leaders of the sales and post-sales organisations on a regular basis to understand their training needs and constantly improve existing training programs.

  • Gather feedback on all training programs from trainees, managers and instructors

  • Help set annual learning and development objectives for the sales team

  • Evaluate employees’ performance after each training


  • 4+ years of combined experience in sales enablement with a strong technical focus and/or in a Sales / Solutions Engineering role

  • Prior experience with Next.js

  • Ability to distil complex concepts into a curriculum with a strong sense of how sales professionals think, operate and absorb knowledge

  • Prior experience with adult learning methodologies is a plus

  • Knowledge / experience with the Value Selling Sales Methodology is a plus

  • Proven track record of content creation, training and designing Enablement materials for a technical / sales audience

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate people

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrable understanding of high growth environments and asynchronous collaboration

  • Ability to travel, if needed
