The Role

Now more than ever, consumers use social media as a way to vet, understand, and connect with the products and services they use in everyday life. As a brand, we want to make a relevant and meaningful first impression, because we know these platforms set the stage for our business goals. We are looking for an experienced and eager Social Media Strategist who wants to dive head-first into this expanding, ever-shifting playground for brands.

We have a cohesive vision for how organic content and engagement are going to help us win our market, and this role is a vital part of those efforts. We are excited to bring on someone to own our platforms, manage our communities, and build our brand’s online presence. This is more than creating calendars and requesting graphics—this is solving the puzzle of how each specific platform can generate energy for our brand and business.

This role’s time will be divided equally between shared strategic development of platforms, content creation, community management, and project management. Sound like a lot? It’s because it is—we’re a big-thinking team with a startup mindset, and we need a person who wants to hustle. But don’t worry, we also value collaboration and co-ownership, so you won’t be left alone to solve world hunger. 😉

As a member of the Brand Team within Marketing, you’ll help craft an impactful social media strategy with respect to the overall content, marketing, and company goals. You will also collaborate across Brand and Marketing to create and deploy assets, engage with partners and industry influencers, manage and interact with our online communities, maintain our overall social calendar, and (of course) report on the efficacy of your efforts.

You must…

  • Have prior experience managing branded social accounts.
  • Have enthusiasm for building community through social media—this is your passion and you love fine-tuning the intersections between the brand, the business, and an audience.
  • Possess a desire to dig into our market and befriend our audience. You may not have a deep understanding of contractors and the problems they face, but you already have a plan to develop that.
  • Have top-notch organizational and collaboration skills—you’ll be coordinating with different teams, partners, and campaigns.
  • Have strong content creation, copywriting, and content marketing skills.
  • Have experience with scheduling software. (We use Sprout, but are flexible).
  • Be a big-time team player—someone who will engage with our followers, partners, and staff at every level of the company to help grow the business through social media.
  • Show up every day, taking the courage to do the difficult but necessary stuff.
  • Grow up constantly: You’re OK working in an environment full of change. You take responsibility, love ownership, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.
  • Do good by treating your co-workers and customers the way you would like to be treated.
  • Reside permanently and currently in Lincoln, NE or the surrounding metro area. Sorry, we’re not hiring outside the US at this time even if you’re willing to work during US time zones.

It’d be nice if you…

  • Have 3-5 years experience in a social media related role.
  • Have experience producing creative content and working closely with creative teams.
  • Have experience in SaaS (software-as-a-service) or working at a B2B (business to business) company.
  • Have experience strategizing, creating, and leading initiatives.
  • Have experience with hybrid work teams.
  • Have experience with ClickUp (our project management software).

Compensation 

This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $52,000 – $58,000 and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
