The Product Marketing team within Bill.com is the driving force behind getting products to market and growing their impact on customers and the business. We represent the voice of the customer – before, during and after launch, articulate a product’s value in a way that resonates with customers and differentiates vis-a-vis the competition, and drive product adoption, retention, and advocacy.

At Bill.com, the product marketing team works cross functionally with product, user experience, support, sales, customer success, brand, growth, creative, and legal, making it an extremely dynamic and influential part of the organization. You’ll be responsible for driving both strategy and execution across the entire GTM lifecycle and be responsible for supporting growth in key business metrics.

List of Responsibilities/Duties:

This role will be focused on launching new products/features and driving sales through the accountant partner channel. You will execute against this mission by being the advocate of our customers when collaborating with Product on product roadmap and development, leading the creation of differentiated and compelling positioning and messaging, orchestrating effective GTM launches by working closely with Sales, Customer Success and Growth Marketing. Success will be measured through both your ability to deliver against business metrics and your ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:

  • Influence product roadmap & development – advocate for the customer, and support Product, UX, and Engineering in building the “right thing”
  • Uncover market and customer insights – develop strategy through expertise on the market segment, buyers, users, competitors, and the product
  • Create positioning & messaging – drive differentiated positioning/messaging to guide GTM efforts in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Orchestrate GTM plans – craft strategy, gain alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, secure resources, and support flawless GTM executions
  • Project management – determine priorities and manage complex projects from end to end while leading a highly matrix team

Competencies (Attributes needed to be successful in this role):

  • Experience in developing and launching new products/features
  • Experience in extracting insights from customer interactions and market feedback
  • Experience in influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leaders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a matrix environment
  • Ability to develop strategic long term vision
  • Experience in B2B SaaS and/or fintech
  • 6-8 years of product marketing or related experience

Expected Outcomes in 3, 6, or 12 months:

  • In 3 months, you’d have developed a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, gotten to know business drivers and barriers, and developed a launch/cross-sell strategy and plan
  • In 6 months, you’d have established your role as the connective tissue between cross-functional stakeholders, launched new features and GTM campaigns, and started to iterate and optimize your strategy, messaging, and executions based on learnings
  • In 12 months, you’d have been considered an expert of your market segment by cross-functional teams, established a sustainable and repeatable segment GTM playbook, and contributed directly to key business metrics
