Job Summary

The Senior Content Marketing Manager, in conjunction with the Director of Creative Services, owns the overarching content strategy for Nextech, and conceptualizes, writes, and executes creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate our brand positioning and messaging through all touch points. Responsibilities include the creation and development of a deep repository of engaging content – including advertisements, emails, blogs, case studies, presentations, sponsored articles, press releases, social media posts, RFP library content, and more. The desired candidate will be highly creative, strategic, and a strong team player who strives to always deliver the right solution, not just what is asked.

Essential Functions: In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:

Essential Functions

      • Collaborate with creative partners, marketing team, business partners, and clients to develop creative solutions and translates those solutions through a variety of channels
      • Develop conceptual ideas into compelling communications that represent the Nextech brand strategy and messaging guidelines
      • Manage, prioritize, and execute on written projects, from concept through completion, to ensure flawless delivery
      • Create, manage, and scale a content marketing strategy and calendar that effectively attracts, captures, and nurtures targeted personas across the pre-opportunity sales opportunity pipelines
      • Collaborate with the DemandGen team to optimize the content marketing strategy (personas, channels, calls-to-action, content type, promotion, distribution) to determine the most successful engagement formulas that maximize impact
      • Present work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval with minimal to no edits or rewrites necessary
      • Provide effective oversight of the work of freelancers or third-party contractors and vendors
      • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business needs

Minimum Requirements

      • 5 years managing editorial and content strategy including partnering/leading internal teams, external agencies, and contractors to produce high-quality content in a variety of formats and channels for high growth companies
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, or similar field
      • Proactive, with the ability to work well independently and as part of the team
      • Possesses solid listening, communication, and problem-solving skills
      • The ability and enthusiasm for writing with exceptional grammar and syntax in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences
      • Portfolio of published work displaying successful metrics and business impact
      • Can speak fluently in marketing KPIs and ROI generated from owned content marketing programs including understanding of how content sources and influences lead quality
      • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively organize, prioritize, and deliver work on-time in a fast-growing software company

Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience with Hubspot, ExactTarget, or similar CRM/marketing automation platform.
      • Knowledge and use of project management tools such as Monday.com and Basecamp

Working Environment

    • Nextech operates as a hybrid work organization – employees may work both from home and the office. Most positions have an expectation of attendance in the corporate office in Tampa, FL on either a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. Frequency of in office work is determined by the department leaders and is subject to change based on business needs. Some positions may be considered 100% remote. The hybrid or remote status of the position will be discussed during the interview process and indicated in the offer letter at the time of the offer.
    • This role works primarily outside of the office and communicates daily through chat, phone calls, and virtual meetings.
    • Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 10% travel

Physical Demands

    • Activities require a significant amount of time in front of a computer monitor.
    • Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel
