ABOUT THE ROLE:

Blockworks is looking for a talented Senior Account Manager to join our team and be accountable for managing Blockworks’ client relationships, ensuring we are delivering a best-in-class experience.

As the Senior Account Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with cross functional partners to ensure that clients receive the maximum value from their relationship with Blockworks. You will leverage your extensive marketing expertise, combined with a strong customer-centric approach, to elevate client relationships and campaign outcomes, monitoring the health and satisfaction of our portfolio of clients, owning retention efforts, and identifying opportunities to expand and upsell. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of client campaigns across our diverse product range, including digital display, podcasts, newsletters, webinars, branded content, research, and more.

This is a true player-coach role where you will have the opportunity to build the Customer Success function from the ground up, as well as building and leading a team. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is incredibly passionate about the web3 space, and excited about diving in to build.

We want to find the best person for the role regardless of where you are located. This role is open for candidates who are working remotely within the US as well as candidates who prefer to work from our New York office.

AS A SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER YOU WILL:

  • Cultivate and nurture enduring client relationships, setting the standard for excellence in customer service.
  • Spearhead the efficient gathering and organization of client-provided campaign assets, ensuring seamless and timely deployment.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and clients to devise innovative campaign strategies, impart best practices, deliver pre-campaign benchmarks, mid-campaign reports, and comprehensive post-campaign analytics.
  • Convey insightful campaign performance metrics to clients through regular report generation and effective delivery.
  • Lead client-facing presentations, harnessing your exceptional presentation skills to showcase campaign performance and the unique value proposition Blockworks offers.
  • Forge a collaborative partnership with Brand Partners on the Sales team, strategically aligning with client needs and objectives, while providing invaluable insights to drive client success.
  • Assume ownership of internal communications concerning campaign objectives, progress, performance, and evolving client requirements.

YOU WILL HAVE :

  • A minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in sales and digital advertising campaign management.
  • At least 1+ year proven people management and development experience.
  • A profound passion for customer success, marketing strategy and innovative thinking
  • The ability to thrive within a remote work setting and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Inherent self-motivation and a proven track record of excelling in a results-driven atmosphere.
  • Exceptional communication prowess, encompassing active listening, negotiation finesse, and compelling presentation skills.

  • An established history of delivering tailor-made client solutions and surpassing ambitious sales objectives.

About the Role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer on our team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power all our applications and services. You will be responsible for leading and scoping out feature work across our entire backend stack that powers our research product (https://blockworksresearch.com) and editorial website (https://blockworks.co; 1M+ monthly active users). This will include implementing APIs, accessing, parsing and formatting blockchain transactions and modeling our internal data across different databases.

Responsibilities

  • ⛴ Ship fast, ship often
  • 💡 Own the backend stack for our exciting crypto products
  • ♻️ Participate in all aspects of product development life cycle including system architecture/design
  • ❓Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes
  • 🚨 Identify project risks and work effectively to mitigate them
  • 🛠 Find and fix stability/scalability issues in a very time critical environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, with a strong focus on backend development and architecture using Typescript and Node.js
  • Experience building fast API endpoints that can handle 1M+ requests per day
  • Extensive experience with Vercel and its serverless functions, including deployment, configuration, and optimization
  • Proficiency in designing and optimizing relational databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization
  • Experience with caching mechanisms and tools like Redis to enhance application performance and scalability
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
