Overview

We are dscout. At our core, we are People Nerds. We empower our customers to meet the people who matter to them in the moments that matter most. Customer-obsessed companies and agencies like Salesforce, Sonos, Groupon, and Best Buy use dscout to build better products and services because of people like you. We are building a smart and driven team, and we would love for you to join us.

We are looking for a Research Solutions Consultant to join our Sales team. As a Research Solutions Consultant, you will partner with our Account Executives in selling dscout to enterprise organizations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strategic consulting and technical/product skill to be a thought-leader throughout the sales process by articulating and demonstrating how dscout’s solution solves our prospective customers’ research challenges.

What you will do (let’s call them Responsibilities):

    • Work closely with the Account Executives and prospective customers to identify and understand the customers’ strategic research goals
    • Provide strong technical and research based knowledge of dscout during demos and act as a dscout expert to train and educate clients on functionality and methodology
    • Work closely with clients’ stakeholders to define the requirements and create a roadmap of success for how the evaluation will be measured. Create and present custom use cases, research plans, proof-of-concepts and other material that address the customer’s needs
    • Lead client workshops which may include white boarding, Q&A sessions, level 2 demos, and trials
    • Partner with Account Executives to manage research operations of the trial including office hours, lunch and learns, trainings, and make recommendations to increase customer engagement and exposure of dscout
    • Collaborate with Research Advisors and clients to run research projects including planning, design, recruiting, fielding and client engagement
    • Equip clients to derive insights from data using dscout’s analysis tools
    • Travel occasionally for onsite client visits where you will train and share best practices, as well as gather feedback to bring directly back to our Product team
    • Opportunity to move into managing 1-3 (maybe more) Research Advisors — prioritizing workload, coaching on work performance and professional growth
    • Act as a customer advocate by sharing feedback internally to continuously improve dscout’s product offerings.
    • Partner with Marketing to develop collateral and content needed during the Presale process and engage in thought leadership and marketing related efforts as needed

What you need to have (we can call them Desired Skills and Background):

    • 3+ years in a customer-facing role within a SaaS company ; preferably as a Solutions Consultant or Solutions Engineer
    • 3+ years in a client-facing role leading research initiatives
    • A passion for research, an innate curiosity about how and why people behave the way they do, and a desire to better understand complex behavioral problems and find solutions to those problems
    • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, and communication skills, both oral and written. Naturally able to strike a balance between friendly and professional in all communications
    • BA/BS degree in business, anthropology, sociology, market research, design research, HCI related field, or equivalent work experience
    • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite products

What is nice to have (let’s call them Additional Skills):

    • Experience across all phases of qualitative research, especially planning, design, recruiting and fielding
    • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
    • A confident cross-functional team player: working to keep people from multiple disciplines aligned toward the same goal
    • Mentorship, Team Lead, or People management experience
We do our best to write realistic, accurate job descriptions, but we also recognize that great talent comes in many forms and from many backgrounds. Not sure if you meet all of the above bullets? Please apply anyway!
