Position Overview:

People Operations Manager oversees Fama’s overall talent management strategy and is the gatekeeper to talent for the organization.  This person is responsible to manage the talent lifecycle from talent acquisition, compensation design, and performance management to employee growth & development.   People Operations Manager is a champion of Fama’s vision and mission.  This person will ensure that each stage of the talent cycle reflects Fama’s core values. This role will be a part of the People Team and report to the VP, People.


    • Manage the full lifecycle talent acquisition process for most positions throughout the company
    • Plan and execute the company’s TA strategy, including candidate outreach, employee review campaigns, employer branding, review responses, and social media content specific to recruitment/employer branding
    • Partner with in-house hiring managers and guide and supports them through recruitment cycles, workforce planning, and other areas related to talent and department growth
    • Support in building a strategy around a hybrid work culture where team members feel high levels of connection and belonging
    • Collaborate with the VP of People to execute our compensation strategy, policies, and programs, including benchmarking new roles into existing pay ranges and managing the review process
    • Lead in the development of promotion and career path strategies aligned to Fama’s core values
    • Participate in the Individualized Development Plan process for employees identified for upcoming growth opportunities; review with the hiring manager and assist in preparing a business case in order to promote; evaluate internal candidates using performance and productivity data to support recommendations for growth
    • Strengthen the performance management process, leveraging best practices, and current growth philosophy to align career development and personal growth goals
    • Work cross-functionally to solve root people challenges while navigating various levels of sensitivity, complexity, urgency, and ambiguity
    • Advice and help coach managers on employee relations topics (e.g., effective coaching, documentation, performance management, etc.)
    • Manage immigration cases as needed
    • Manage the annual benefits open enrollment process, including identifying benefits and plans to maintain a competitive offering while reflecting its culture and values
    • Support VP of People and other key stakeholders to facilitate process improvement, promote process standardization, efficiency, and operational excellence


    • Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist of HRBP experience, preferably with a broad scope of responsibilities
    • Are excited about navigating a hyper-growth, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity,  inclusion, and belonging
    • Experienced supporting at least 50+ employees across multiple states in a remote work environment
    • Deep experience in employee relations, compensation, and workforce planning
    • Outstanding judgment, sensitivity, and high discretion
    • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-through skills; ability to prioritize and demonstrate an appropriate sense of urgency
    • Enjoy the ability to leverage data to help drive informed decision making
