Join a tight-knit, fast-growing team on the leading edge of cloud infrastructure technology. We’re looking for a data-driven and detail-oriented Lead Development Rep to support our growth by developing and managing our inbound leads and related inquiries, by engaging with and qualifying prospects. Reporting to our VP of Sales, this role will be the first point of contact with our inbound leads—making sure they understand the value of our tooling and how it applies to their cost-optimization strategy. Working closely with Sales leaders, you’ll also inform our process and playbook, helping us build a first-rate Lead Development program. We encourage testing, iteration, and evolution as we refine our processes.

Backed by leading VCs and software executives and founded by ex-Google cloud engineers and PMs, Stackwatch empowers teams to efficiently operate Kubernetes at scale. Starting with our flagship product Kubecost, we build tooling and intelligence to manage cost, performance, reliability and other infrastructure operability challenges. Our team is fully distributed, and we’re dedicated to building a vibrant, remote-first company culture that focuses on kindness and collaboration while achieving outsized results. We recently raised our Series A—this is an amazing opportunity to join a startup with significant traction!

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

      • Identify top-quality opportunities for our sales team through discovery and qualification of outbound leads
      • Communicate directly with prospective customers through a variety of channels (email, Slack, verbal)
      • Use creativity, empathy, and tenacity to secure meetings for our field sales organization
      • Source new leads through creative outbound methods
      • Work closely with demand generation, product marketing and sales teams to create joint programs and campaigns

Our ideal candidate has:

    • 1+ years of experience in a B2B sales role, initiating outbound calls and/or appointment bookings and hitting (or better yet: exceeding!) targets
    • Experience using modern tooling (LinkedIn, HubSpot, website traffic, SalesIntel, Orbit, Google Sheets, etc) to inform contextual outreach to the developer and DevOps community
    • Strong organization skills for tracking leads, accounts, outreach efforts, and schedules  to maximize the creation of new opportunities and ensure successful handoffs
    • Ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly goals for opportunity escalations
    • An experimentation-oriented, iterative approach
    • Willingness to learn cloud/K8s ecosystems, while keeping up to date on the evolving technology landscape
    • Passion for technical infrastructure (Kubernetes familiarity preferred) and how it powers the world’s applications and enables development teams
    • A focus on rich, high-quality outreach efforts that align with our developer-friendly culture. This should be done while meeting volume expectations.
    • Excitement for working in a creative & fast-paced startup environment
    • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills and strong attention to detail

    • We evaluate our pay scales on a semiannual basis to ensure competitiveness with the upper end of the market for comparably-sized companies, and maintain equitable and transparent compensation policies and processes. Placement within the range will be based on skillset and experience.
    • The OTE range for this position is: $75k-$120k
    • The equity compensation for this position is .03%-.11%
