We are currently seeking an empathetic, curious, and quick-learning technical lead to join our growing Infrastructure Security Engineering practice. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects utilizing your rich skill-set to create innovative solutions while helping to maintain and support a balanced yet challenging environment with a highly collaborative team.
The salary range for this position is $166,500 – $192,500.

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

    • Lead cross-functional agile engineering teams with a focus on collaboration, engagement, inclusion
    • Design, create, and implement infrastructure as code to automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring of secure and reliable production infrastructure
    • Define and communicate technical strategy, and technical implementation details to internal and external stakeholders clearly, concisely, and persuasively when necessary
    • Mentor and support other engineers through active pairing and technical design
    • Diagnose engineering issues holistically, using engineering fundamentals as well as team experiences
    • Model and encourage infrasec best practices within Truss and to our clients

Skillset:

    • Proactive communicator – including thoughtful listening skills, the ability to express complex ideas clearly to a diverse audience, and ability to expand succinctly in writing as needed
    • Proficient with modern DevOps tooling and concepts such as: Terraform (infrastructure as code), CI/CD, Python, Go, Observability Systems, Logging, etc
    • Adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset that sees success as a group outcome
    • Experience leading small, cross-functional project teams
    • Talent for finding technology-agnostic solutions and  evaluating new technologies, tried-and-true technologies, and best practices
    • An understanding of secure development and security concerns at the application API and infrastructure level
    • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello, Github, GSuite, Slack, and Zoom
    • Ability to work within technical and non-technical constraints on production/production ready systems
The salary range for this position is $166,500 – $192,500.
