The Role: 

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our highly collaborative research and development team. We are looking for someone who is mission-driven, can wear many hats, and is excited about leading our data science efforts. In addition to working closely with the product, you will work closely with engineers, teaching and learning from each other as much as possible. You will also work closely with QA and Product Management to participate in and shape our Agile processes.

Our team is composed of empathetic and hard-working individuals that care deeply about our mission and building the highest quality product we can build. The team enjoys and excels at mentoring and learning from each other. In general, we value collaboration, communication, and a “no job too small” attitude.

We encourage our team members to pair frequently. We host weekly guilds around various technical topics to share knowledge across the team where all members are encouraged to propose and lead workshops whenever possible! We are a remote first team, but have plenty of team events – from wine tastings, magic shows, and chess club we work hard and have fun.

Tech stack:

Python, Pandas, SciKit, PostgreSQL, SqlAlchemy, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, DataDog, Sentry, TypeScript, VueJs, Github Actions, Selenium, Jest, Pytest, and more!

What we are looking for:

  • Deep intellectual curiosity and passion for data science
  • Python (Pandas and SciKit) experience
  • Experience with Machine Learning and AI
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Data Science experience
  • Experience with assessing the trade-offs of different machine learning models
  • Experience working closely with engineering team to drive technical decisions
  • Experience working at a start-up
  • Experience working directly with management

RippleMatch is a remote-first company. We believe in helping to shape the future of work and creating accessibility to a great working environment for all, regardless of location. This means that all of our openings can be worked remotely. Our physical office is conveniently located near Union Square in New York City and all employees keep Eastern hours regardless of where they are based. All RippleMatch employees are encouraged to work remotely or come into the office as much as they want or not at all. To ensure the health and safety of our team, RippleMatch does require proof of vaccination for all employees.

We believe in maintaining a culture that can cut across distance to suit our employees who choose to be remote as well as those who prefer to come in office.
