Reports to: Senior Director, US Supporter Success

Location: Remote in IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, OH, WI (Midwest region specifically)

Salary: $84,800-$100,000 USD (Placement within this range is dependent upon experience and location)


Summary of Responsibilities

Under the leadership of the Executive Director of US Supporter Success, this relationship manager is responsible for managing a large portfolio of existing supporter organizations and expanding the Catalyst presence in the Midwest region through brand presence. The Director develops and maintains in-depth relationships with assigned organizations, cultivates new supporters across various industries, and is responsible for retention and increased engagement of those supporter organizations. The role will also be tasked with assisting in the development and delivery of select supporter services including speaking engagements and events at times. Ultimately this individual will accelerate supporter value through proactive relationships and monitoring of their engagement to maximize and support their evolving needs.


Essential Functions

Relationship Management & Growth

-Serve as Relationship Manager to designated Catalyst corporate supporters, maintaining regular contact regarding upcoming Catalyst events/research and stakeholders’ needs and issues, as well as communicating Catalyst offerings and following up on various requests
-Manage a large portfolio of supporters that span various regions, industries, company sizes and strategies
-Build and execute sustainable processes whilst being creative to prioritize, communicate and service a large number of accounts effectively
-Speak to external constituencies regarding Catalyst’s mission, research, services, and solutions that assist companies in recruiting, retaining, and advancing women; communicate trends and best practices
-Collaborate with Catalyst teams in other regions to share best practices and design strategies to develop new supporters and better serve existing accounts
-Deepen Catalyst impact in Supporter organizations through fee for service work

DEI & Subject Matter Expertise

-Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of Catalyst resources, research, and services
-Grow to be a resource for Catalyst Supporter organizations on their Diversity and Inclusion strategy journey
-Identify and develop the relevant content for supporter and prospect meetings, using Catalyst research and other resources
-Support the development and execution of events designed to convene Catalyst supporter organizations and prospects


Essential Knowledge and Skills

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business, marketing, social science, organizational development, or a related field of study
-Minimum five years of progressively responsible business development, relationship management, consultative sales, client service/customer success, member relations, or consulting work experience
-Experience managing a large portfolio of corporate accounts as the primary point of service and contact strongly preferred
-Strong client-facing experience and abilities, including project planning, oversight, and problem-solving
-Broad knowledge of and experience in the corporate world; general knowledge of issues facing working women
-Ability to think strategically and recognize and leverage opportunities related to Catalyst’s mission
-Ability to speak publicly to a wide range of audiences, from line managers to senior executives
-An entrepreneurial spirit with well-developed interpersonal skills, an understanding of and commitment to customer service, and a professional demeanor
-Fundraising and non-profit experience is a plus
-Passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace
-Ability to play a leadership role in a highly team-oriented, virtual work environment
-Outstanding written and verbal communication, and outstanding attention to detail. Confident and capable with CRM systems like Salesforce.com and using processes to drive efficiency and scale
-Ability to juggle multiple priorities, and work with confidential issues and data
-Some travel is required (~20%)
