Liquibase is looking for talented, goal-driven professionals to join our team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). The BDR will be responsible for researching prospective customers, creating and utilizing outreach strategies, and identifying potential sales opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Solving interesting problems, and working cross-functionally to build value for Liquibase and customers
  • Collaborate with your sales team to drive pipeline and growth
  • Building new customer pipeline and progressing those deals through early stages
  • Develop and communicate with qualified leads
  • Research targeted accounts, determine key contacts and opportunities
  • Effectively articulate Liquibase’s value proposition, platform, and services to prospective clients
  • Conduct high volume prospecting to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media
  • Ask discovery questions to properly qualify decision makers for future meetings
  • Executing multi-touch lead follow up via email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Partnering with Marketing to develop demand generation strategies
  • Conducting and leading calls with prospective customers to identify new Opportunities
  • Maintaining CRM (HubSpot) to ensure continuity in context for better customer service
  • Align with tenured Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute territory strategy
  • Work in an environment where sales career growth is encouraged, supported, and proven

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years in business development or insides sales experience
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems; As a startup, you will see unique circumstances where there is no playbook and ability to think outside the box and adapt quickly will be key
  • Proven ability to create demand
  • Proven ability to develop Opportunities from green field prospects
  • Successful track record of sustained achievement of targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot) strongly desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Coachable – you are willing to accept constructive feedback
  • Team Oriented – you are willing to lend a hand and celebrate the success of your teammates
  • Driven – you are eager to do the “hard” work of calling prospects.  This is not for everyone, so you must have some history of handling adversity
  • Strong desire to learn and develop (you must be able to learn from your mistakes)
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous success working in a fast-paced, dynamic and creative environment


A Bachelor’s degree OR relevant work experience is required
